Charity HighGround wins Gold at BBC Gardeners World
We at Readyhedge were delighted to hear that our wonderful friends at HighGround were awarded the Gold award at the BBC Gardeners World competition.
HighGround is a brilliant charity that helps treat injured serving personnel at DMRC. They specialise in horticultural therapy, allowing patients to recover from chronic pain, neurological problems, traumatic injuries or a range of spinal, upper or lower limb injuries. Their work and dedication to help those in need allows patients to begin recovery and enables them to either return to military life or transition to civilian life.
It is charities like these that we at Readyhedge are proud to support, that is why we arranged to help HighGround with their ‘Make Do and Mend’ entry this year at the BBC Gardeners World competition. We donated some of our lovely Beech Hedging, which was a wonderful addition to the beautifully arranged ‘Beautiful Borders’ entry.
If you would like to learn more about the ‘Make Do and Mend’ entry, you can read about it here. If you are interested to find out more about HighGround, why not visit their website?
We are beyond pleased with the result for HighGround. It is lovely to see hard work and passion pay off. We would also like to use this opportunity as a chance to say a big well done to all other entrants and a special thank you to HighGround for using our hedging in their award-winning entry!
