Panels & Screens

These are grown and sold by our sister company Hedgegrow Ltd.

Panels and screens are available in a range of varieties and sizes.

Low panels are an excellent alternative to fencing, giving a narrow living hedge. These are easily trimmed and maintained with a hedge trimmer. Ideal for separating garden areas or as windbreaks around patios.

High panels are similar to low panels but they have a clear stem of 1.8m or 2m‚ providing an aerial hedging effect. These are ideal for screening above an existing wall or just to make an architectural statement. Pruning sheets are available on request

The following is a list of what we stock all year around but there is always small quantities of other varieties available on the nursery, so it is worth enquiring if you cannot see something you are looking for.

Low Screening Panels

Low screening panels are a great alternative to fence panels. We grow the following varieties and they can be the following specification

• Carpinus betulus 20cm clear stem, 180cm high x 120cm wide panel
• Carpinus betulus 50cm clear stem, 150cm high x 150cm wide panel
• Fagus sylvatica 20cm clear stem, 180cm high x 120cm wide panel
• Fagus sylvatica Purpurea 30cm clear stem, 200cm high x 150cm wide panel
• Liquidamber sty. Worplesdon 50cm clear stem, 150cm high x 150cm wide panel
• Parrotia persica 50cm clear stem, 150cm high x 150cm wide panel
• Pyrus Chanticleer 50cm clear stem, 150cm high x 150cm wide panel

Midi Screening Panels

These have a clear stem of between 0.8m and 1.5m which allows for planting underneath.
